Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, inventory management, and distribution of products. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to optimize warehouse processes for efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to ensure seamless operations.
• Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring all products are properly labeled and stored.
• Manage and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Handle and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inventory or shipments.
• Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance and inventory status.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management and logistics.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
